Victoria and the CRD is heavily legislated. You would think you were living in a totalitarian regime given the number of laws on the books. You can't use a tanning bed if you can't vote. You can't idle your car. You have to shovel your sidewalk. You can't smoke in a doorway (though you can shoot up in a doorway-- the lesson there: shoot up crack, don't smoke it.). We don't feel the boot of The Man, because they bylaws are complaint driven. If you don't name who you are and drive the complaint nothing happens. So I got a call from my Credit Union tonight. They've deactivated my card because it was compromised-- or used at a compromised location. They couldn't say where, they couldn't say when and they couldn't say by whom. So, let's play " DATA BINGO! " Below is a list of places and times where I used my card in the last couple months. Did you get a call from your credit union? Are you a Blogger? How about you post a list of places you where you made purchases. Then, leave a link to your list in my comments for this post-- or better yet: post it with the tag of "databingo" to make it easy to find. I think the chances are good that if two or three bloggers post these lists we can dial in which place hires scammers or has practices so poor that their Interac terminals are behind a Magineaux Line of security. This from CFAX News : Victoria police have taken a big bite out of the local drug trade after searching a torrington place home last night. A 39 year old saanich man is in police custody after a month long joint investigation between victoria and central saanich police turned up one kilogram each of crystal meth and cocaine, as well as $15,000 in cash. Alexander Djafar-Zade was arrested last night, he was on bail for two other drug trafficking charges from this past december and february. Hamilton says police are requesting he be held in custody. Police say if sold on the street, the crystal meth is worth of $50-80,000 while the cocaine is worth between $60-80,000. Police call Djafar-Zade a mid to high level drug trafficker who lives with his mother in Gordon Head at 4370 Torrington Place . Djafar-Zade has been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of breach. Good riddance to the garbage that make garbage on the street.

Gordon Campbell's goons in the Liberal government has done a crypto anti-downloading by handling out huge assessment spikes so that municipal governments can tax homeowners that much more rather than go hat-in-hand to the provincial government. What do we get for the third act of life in Victoria? Shit. Literally. Thank you liberal government policies, thank you. We have now entered the days of law-abiding citizens being second in line to notorious law-breaking citizens.
